pumpkin patch fun

Hey everybody ,
last week was fun for our family (the best part was I didn't get hurt at all). On Friday Trey went to Nana's and Grandpa's and Rob and I actually went on a date! We went to dinner and a movie, Zombie land funny but a little gross. Saturday, we just relaxed and took it easy. Trey, Judy and I took a trip to kohl's to get Trey some winter Jammie's he is already in 2T, the boy is huge! Judy got a new winter cSaturday night we hung out at home played cards with Emily and Dustin and did a little hot tubing, all in all a great night.
Sunday was really fun, we went to the animal farm and Trey loved the cows!!! we also stopped by the church pumpkin patch and everyone picked out a pumpkin. we have discovered that trey knows what sound a dog, cow, kitty and race car makes. It was a wonderful surprise and we think he learned it at daycare.
Monday we went to gymbree Trey was in put into the 16 to 22 month class and even though Trey had a really good time I don't think that he is ready for the class yet. So we may try again in a few months.
this week will be really low key since Rob will be out of town on a hunting trip Wenesday through Tuesday.

That's in for now, check out the funny video I made:

Steph and Josh's wedding, trip to the lake and softball!!

( above Emily is Rocking a lovely CSI pinball machine, because I know when I think horrific crime, I think triple bonus point)

Hello everybody,
As many of you know last week was not a fun week for me!!! I play catcher on our softball team and I jumped up to catch the ball and the (male) runner decided that I am a huge threat and rammed into me, fracturing my arm. I didn't know it was fractured (Rob kept telling me it was bruised and to stop being a baby) so I didn't go to the doctor till the next day, it was one of the most painful nights of my life! I've had it in a sling since Monday and tomorrow I go get it x-ray'ed to see where they want to go next, breaking your arm is extra fun with a 14 month baby. So Sunday night I'm not playing because of my arm, but I do go to the field to watch Rob and the team play. I'm walking away from the ball field to Trey's toy bat when I hear "heads up" so I look up to see where the foul ball is so that I can move. You know what I saw? The ball, wham right in the forehead. I have a huge goose egg right above my eyebrow. So in conclusion who ever has the voodoo doll of me "I'M SORRY" please don't hurt me anymore!
On to some pictures:

Trey and I at the farmers market we just started eating organic.
1. this is a watermelon not a pickle 2. they are not doing anything inappropriate Dustin!!

I'm ready for my shoot Trya, ANTM here I come!!!

Give me the thing that light comes out of mommy

Here are our two team mascots: Mr. T and and Emer's the winner!!

In September our good friends Stephanie and Josh got married, Rob had the honer of being asked to be a groomsmen and all the guest had the honer of watching Trey get down on the dance floor. He was a ladies man that night! Trey didn't do so hot while the ceremony was being preformed his thought pattern was, " Mommy were outside, why are we setting and why doesn't the pretty lady in the white dress answer when I yell at her? " needless to say we had to step aside for a while.

Just an update

Today I am going to write a little about Trey and then focus on a special guest...

We are in the beginning stages of potty training, scary I know! I Trey just got a new little potty about a week ago and every night and morning we make him sit on it for a little while not expecting much, and to our surprise he went potty. I was so happy he got a cookie!!! I know what a lot of you are thinking "potty training at fourteen months, a little early". Well a few weeks ago Trey started taking off his diaper in his sleep. I told one of my coworkers about it and he said his daughter did that when she wanted to potty train, I did a little research and everything said the same thing they want to potty train. The other scary thing we are doing is the 30Th no more Bottle!!! I am not looking forward to this, but its time.

Alright now for the guest spotlight!! My grandma wales!! My grandpa and her just moved to Arizona to become snowbirds!!! Go grandma get your tan on.

I wanted to tell two funny stories about her as many of you know my grandma is a trained pianist so when I was younger she took me to a few of her gigs..

When I was about eleven years old my grandma took me to a compound called " the fellowship of friends " at the time I thought it was really neat they had grapevines everywhere since they made their own wine. It was the first naked man statue I have ever seen!! When I was older I found out that the " fellowship of friends" is a cult! Yes my grandma took me to a cult. I know that she is rolling her eyes right now.

The second story was when she played in a Catholic church. My family is Presbyterian so I have never been in a catholic church before. Well I was about eight years old and pretty board so I started wondering around. I went and talked to the priest in the confessional, that was entertaining we talked about my new dog " Gremlin" and then after I went and lit all of the candles. My grandma caught me in the middle of this and needless to say she made a fairly large donation to the church that day. That was the last gig I was allowed to go on.

Love you grams!!!
More pictures next week!!

Labor day weekend

Hey everybody every year for labor day weekend we go up to Rob's grandparents house for a pig roast!! The whole town comes out (all 100 of them) to celebrate. It's a really fun time. This year it was to cold to go to the lake but we all had a good time anyways.

This picture is really hard to see but its of Mike playing with the Moonshiners Social Club (Rob's Grandparents band). I hope Rob and I will get a new digital camera soon. I can not tell you how much I miss having one. I hate disposables. When Rob's dad Bob was little all of the family played music together, usually during labor day they will all get up on stage and play at least one song, the one below is of Rob's aunt Dottie, Uncle Larry and Bob (once again hard to see). Between the Reeves and my grandma Judy (A very talented Pianist) it's no wonder Trey loves music so much!

Trey went crazy for the music the first picture is of him two stepping with his Nana

Taking a break (he was pretty tired)

Then Mikaela

Then Mikaela and me took a twirl
Every year we have celebrity guest Dolly Parton had her sister Stella (Rob's grandma and her best friend).
The Guys carving the pig

The Pig coming out of the smoker

Trey and Daddy

Trey hanging out with Kurt, making some important calls.

That's it for now Thanks for tuning in.
Love ya,

It's been too Long

Hello party people,
Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged!!! Summer ball is over and I'm pretty relieved. I have decided to put together a fall ball team, even though it really hard for me to not be very good at something I want to get better for Rob. He really loves playing together on a co'ed team. Were called the SHOW STOPPERS!!! Hey it's better then Mediocre Players, truthfully I think I wanted to design the team shirts more then I actually wanted to play.
Friday was Judy's 19Th birthday so a big group of us went to GoJo's Japanese steak house to celebrate, it was a really fun night and I think that Judy had a really good time.
Last weekend Rob and I went to Chicago overnight for our two year wedding anniversary. When you have a baby you fall into a sequined schedule and forget whats it's like to be a couple. So once in a while you need to get a way. The Blue Man group was so funny and those guys are really talented!! One of the highlights of the weekend was there was some really cool clubs and bars around the theater where the blue man group preformed. Rob and I decided we would go visit one after the show, as we were about to walk in there was a guy standing in the door with just a thong on, it was a gay club!! Rob was a little freaked out and wanted to go back to the hotel, but I though it was really funny.
On to the pictures..

Trey didn't quite make it through the night, he was pretty relaxed on the way home.

Trey wanted to help un-pack

Monday, August 17, 2009

I am so sorry I haven't blogged recently, we have been super busy and unfortunately I lost our digital camera while on vacation in Branson. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

  • We are doing well, still very busy.

  • Next week is Rob and I two year wedding anniversary we are taking a quick weekend trip to Chicago. neither of us has been before so we are super excited. We plan on going to the zoo and have bought tickets to the Blueman group.

  • Trey is full on walking now. He has learned two new words Dog and Don't and also likes to use them in combination don't dog (Dr. Pepper really likes licking him in the face.

  • Even though we use sun block on him religiously he is more tan then his aunt Judy (she is not very happy about this).

  • Softball is almost over and we may play fall ball haven't decided yet (we kind of need a break).

  • Judy turns 19 on Friday and we are very excited. Were taking her to a Japanese steak house called GoJo's for her birthday.

That's it for now. will have pictures of Chicago up next week.

Love ya,

Jessica

Its your birthday get your grove on

Trey turns one Tomorrow. I can not believe how fast this first year has gone by (sigh, Tear). Trey turning one makes me not only pat myself on the back for getting through the first year but think what have I gotten myself into!!! J/K

I have included a picture of Trey the day he was born and one from a few weeks ago, so that you can all experience the greatness that is my son!! Yeah Rob and I made that and no it it's not for sale.
Saturday we went over to our friend Nate's house for a BBQ it was a good thing we had something to eat first since Nate's brisket didn't get ready till three AM (some people should leave the meat smoking to the masters, Right Rob). It was a really good time and as always Nate was the man!!

For Trey's first birthday he had a Monster Bash theme party. I know what a lot of you are thinking "Monster bash, he won't even remember his first birthday!" Well haters, here are some useful things about throwing a monster bash theme party, you get to make your friends wear name tags that say monster names (and trust me they are more into it then the kids), you let everyone know what kind of people live in your house (chalk on the sidewalk saying Beware monster's only), and paper monster feet taped to the floor let's everyone know where the bathroom (those are staying, I think they will be useful for the future.)

In conclusion her are a few things I learned from my sons first birthday party:
1. No pinatas ever again (kids are insane and one year old's are scared of dragens, who knew?)
2. Naps are so important before the party starts.
3. When you use Penny's to hold up your pool liner some kid will steal them.
4. This one is the most important, never throw the party at your house that's what grandparents are for!!!
Love ya,
Jessi
